7 reasons why you should stay at Ledges Hotel, Hawley, PA in your next Poconos trip

After staying home for more than a year, we finally went on a mini-vacay to Poconos for pre mother’s day celebration and had so much fun during our stay at Ledges Hotel, Hawley, PA. Poconos mountain is no doubt the most sought-after destination for people of NJ, NY & PA. And this was not our first trip to Poconos. But this time, the highlight of our trip was our stay at Ledges for many reasons.

So if you’re thinking about taking a trip to Poconos in the upcoming days, I would like to share 7 reasons why you should consider staying at Ledges Hotel, PA.

Historic value, rustic charm

Ledges Hotel, PA is one of the many hotels of America with a historic value. Ledges Hotel was built from a repurposed 1890s era glass factory, called O’Connor Glass Factory. While the historic exterior structure resembles an old stone castle and blends effortlessly with the natural surroundings, the interior has been tastefully decorated with multiple artworks of local artists. We even had a vintage-looking spiral staircase in our suite. Not only the hotel but the surrounding area has an old era charm with a variety of antique and specialty shops and galleries.

Spectacular waterfall view

Nestled in the lush natural beauty of rock ledges and Paupack High Falls, the impressive location of Ledges hotel is the main attraction of its stay. A breathtaking view of Paupack Falls from its indoor/ outdoor multilevel seating makes it a nature lovers’ Paradise. Many of the rooms and suites offer a stunning view of the river gorge. We were lucky enough to be in a suite with a waterfall view from every window, its downstairs living area to the upstairs bedroom, and even from the Jacuzzi bathtub. Can there be anything more relaxing than sitting at the window, sipping a cup of coffee, and listening to the sound of a gushing waterfall?

The complimentary breakfast

I mean who doesn’t love complimentary breakfast with their hotel stay. Ledges hotel offers complimentary continental breakfast free with the stay and it’s not a buffet here, you get a voucher for Cocoon Coffee House which is located just next to Ledges. So you get to choose anything you want from the breakfast menu. Isn’t that amazing. Those homemade pastries and burritos were delicious , to say the least.

Suites include a functional kitchen

Ledges hotel offers different stay options to choose from. They have contemporary single rooms, 1 & 2 bedrooms fully equipped suites.  Suites come with a living space and functional kitchen including a microwave and refrigerator which is a plus especially if you are traveling with babies and kids.

The best backdrop for a photoshoot

If you are looking for an outstanding location for any special occasion photoshoot like engagement, maternity, or family photography, or just a person like me who is always on the lookout for beautiful photoshoot locations then there can not be a better backdrop than this. Their multilevel deck area has so many corners overlooking the gorgeous waterfall that you surely will get some extraordinary clicks. Don’t forget to carry a tripod if you plan to do some family photography on your own.

Dine-in at Glass – wine. bar. kitchen restaurant

The on-site restaurant of Ledges hotel named Glass – wine. bar. kitchen is considered one of the best restaurants in the Poconos Mountain area. Popular for its small plates menu, this is a place for good food and great view. You don’t want to miss dining out here during your stay at Ledges.

Easy access to places around

It’s perfectly situated and you can easily access those antique shops, Wallenpaupack lake, or the breweries nearby. We spent some time at the Three Hammers winery, visited a candy shop nearby, and did little sightseeing around the Wallenpaupack lake.

So my fellow NJ, NY, and PA people, if you are looking for a quiet peaceful getaway to enjoy some stunning views and relaxing amenities then you should think about staying at Ledges Hotel. From hanging out in one of the oversized suites to enjoying the outdoor seating by the waterfall, this place is big on fresh air and less on technology. We are already dreaming of coming back to Ledges, maybe during Fall or Winter to experience a different kind of the beauty of the fall.
