Fall offers similarly mild weather, ideal for outdoor activities such as exploring Forsyth Park or strolling along River Street. The answer is no. One of the best things about Savannah is its walkability, allowing you to explore attractions, shops, and restaurants in close proximity. Free shuttles, trolleys, and bike rentals make getting around the city easy. For longer trips, the free DOT shuttle or trolley tours are convenient options. However, if you plan to explore areas outside the city center, such as Tybee Island or nearby plantations, having a car can be helpful. Otherwise, walking and public transportation are sufficient for getting around.

Renowned for its all-day breakfast, it offers flavorful classics like Chicken & Waffle, shrimp and grits and fluffy pancakes, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. They have two locations, one on the Bay Street and the other one on the River Street.
Toast All Day
Whether you’re craving something savory or sweet, Toast All Day Savannah is sure to hit the spot! Located in the heart of the historical district, this popular breakfast and brunch destination draws crowds, often resulting in longer wait times for seating and service. However, we found the food and drinks well worth it, especially their delicious salted caramel mocha. With a casual atmosphere and an intriguing menu, it just might offer the best brunch in town.
Hitch
Hitch is a charming lunch spot in Savannah, offering Southern comfort food like you’ve never experienced before. The cozy yet cool atmosphere makes it an ideal setting for a satisfying family meal. Our family enjoyed the unique menu, which included dishes like Traylor Park Nachos, Avocado fries, Fish and Chips, and Fried Oreos.
Grafitto
Grafitto delivers a vibrant culinary experience with Italian-inspired dishes featuring a modern twist. The menu features fresh, locally sourced ingredients, including handmade pasta and delicious seafood, all set in an inviting atmosphere that we truly enjoyed.
Zunzibar
Zunzibar is a beach-themed bar offering handcrafted cocktails, frozen drinks, wine, and a selection of draft and canned beers. Their kitchens serve award-winning Zunzi’s sandwiches, wings, bar bites, and more! It has two locations, one at Tybee Island and another one at Drayton Street, Savannah. We visited the Savannah spot for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
