Day 1: Arriving in Missouri
On day 1, we flew from Newark to Springfield-Branson National Airport. Our adventure kicked off the moment we landed. After grabbing our bags and rental car, we hit the road and started exploring!
Lunch at Black Sheep Burgers and Shakes
After the flight, we were starving, so we headed straight to Black Sheep Burgers and Shakes in Springfield. Their gourmet burgers and hand-spun shakes were exactly what we needed to kick off our first day. We indulged in their truffle fries, chicken Bijan burger, and chocolate cream cookie shakes, and everything was absolutely delicious!
Afternoon at Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium
Next, we made our way to the Wonders of Wildlife (WOW) National Museum & Aquarium in Springfield, MO. Voted as America’s best aquarium for the fifth time, Wonders of Wildlife is a must-see attraction for families. It was the perfect first stop, especially for our son who loved all the interactive exhibits and seeing the marine life up-close. We also explored the Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World headquarters which is connected to WOW. The store features over 500,000 square feet of immersive shopping and one of the largest selections of outdoor gear, apparel, and gifts all under one roof.

Drive to Branson & Check-In at the Lodge of the Ozarks
After our visit to the museum and aquarium, we took the scenic 45-minute drive to Branson. We checked into the Lodge of the Ozarks in Branson. located in the heart of the Branson Strip, this rustic lodge is ideal for families and offers spacious rooms, outdoor areas, and a pool. This is, no doubt, one of the best affordable hotels in Branson near all the attractions. After dropping off our bags and freshening up, we were ready for an evening of fun.
Evening at The Track Family Fun Parks
For our first taste of Branson’s excitement, we headed to The Track Family Fun Parks. We raced go-karts on their high-rise tracks, played arcade games, and rode the famous Branson Ferris Wheel. It was such a blast!

Dinner at White River Fish House
For dinner, we made our way to Branson Landing and dined at White River Fish House, located on a floating barge. Their fish tacos were to die for, and they served cocktails in fun, fish-themed containers.
Afterward, we explored Branson Landing and stopped by Dick’s 5 & 10 to shop for cute gifts and souvenirs. Finally, we watched the amazing water and fire fountain show at Branson Landing – a perfect end to our first day.
Day 2: History and Adventures
Breakfast at Billy Gail’s
We started the day with a big breakfast at Billy Gail’s at Branson Mill, one of the top-rated breakfast places in Branson. Their pancakes were legendary (seriously, they are the size of hubcaps!), and their French toast was equally delicious. What really stood out to my eyes was their quirky, fun decor. An amazing way to start your day!

Afternoon Fun at Fritz’s Adventure
In the afternoon, we headed to Fritz’s Adventure, a perfect place to enjoy the best ziplining adventure in Branson. It has an indoor park full of zip lines, rope courses, and even an airplane suspended in the air! It was the ultimate indoor playground, and our son didn’t want to leave.

I highly recommend experiencing this with your family.

We started our day by trying breakfast at Branson Cafe, the town’s oldest restaurant. Even before Branson became an official town, they were there, serving up delicious breakfasts and establishing a tradition that has endured for over a century. We tried their chicken and waffles, plus the 3 egg omelets, and the food lived up to the hype.
Morning at Top of the Rock Lost Canyon Cave & Nature Trail
Next, we headed out for a scenic ride through the Lost Canyon Cave & Nature Trail, one of the best scenic spots in Branson. Exploring the cave, waterfalls, and stunning views of Table Rock Lake in a golf cart was one of the highlights of our trip. The winding trail led us through a stunning cave, where we grabbed some refreshments at the Bat Bar. After this, we drove our golf cart through the covered bridges and waterfalls to take a stop at the sky bridge for a breathtaking view of the Ozarks. We also visited the Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum, where we learned all about the rich history of the region.

Lunch at Mel’s Hard Luck Diner

Afternoon at Silver Dollar City
We spent the rest of the day at Silver Dollar City, and it did not disappoint! From thrilling rides to live shows and crafts, there was something for everyone. The park was decked out for the Harvest Festival, and as the sun set, thousands of glowing pumpkins made the evening magical. The park also features 18 award-winning eateries, so we enjoyed dinner there before calling it a day.

Day 4: Wrapping up Our Trip
Brunch at Lambert’s Café
Before heading home, we stopped at Lambert’s Café, Home of Throwed Rolls. The food was amazing, and catching rolls thrown across the room was a fun and unique experience. They served coffee and other drinks in giant cups.
Afternoon at Fantastic Caverns
For our final adventure, we visited Fantastic Caverns, the only completely ride-through cave in America. The guided tour was a relaxing way to explore the stunning underground formations, and it was a perfect last stop on our trip. Our guide shared some interesting facts, such as the cavern once being an illegal nightclub in the 1920s. It was enjoyable for the whole family.
